Casting your commander from the command zone costs 2 more for each time you have already cast it from there this game.
The rule
The first cast from the command zone costs the normal mana cost. Every earlier cast from the command zone this game adds another 2: +2 for the second cast, +4 for the third, and so on (CR 903.8).
Only casts from the command zone count. A commander cast from your hand or from another zone neither pays nor raises the tax.
Partners each keep their own count (CR 702.124d). The tax applies in Brawl as well (CR 903.12a).
In Life Counter
Tap your commander coin when you cast it from the command zone. Before the first cast it shows your initial; after that it shows what the next cast costs extra: +2, +4, +6.
